How can an organization best prepare itself for an unknown future? What can a company do to be successful in an environment where it is almost impossible to predict changes in technology, consumer behavior, competitive product offerings, and other relevant economic factors a year out, let alone 5 or 10 years? Google's philosophy has been to hire the right people and to come up with an internal organization that allows to quickly adapt to a fast changing environment like the World Wide Web. This talk will discuss some of the core principles behind Google's philosophy and will provide a detailed walk-through for a few selected examples.
