Padma Rao holds a degree in English Literature and a post graduate diploma in German Language and Literature. She has been a television producer, a news editor, and a foreign correspondent for the past 22 years. She has been German newsmagazine Der Spiegel’s Southasia bureau chief in New Delhi since 1998.
